THE HOME’
The Rebbe’s Call to Learn Halacha
… Various questions in Halachah often arise in the home and one cannot run to the Rav every five minutes, hence, there must be a Rav in the home. Therefore it must be encouraged that it is highly proper for everyone who wishes to build an everlasting home (and so too married men after their wedding) should first obtain Semicha. Certainly, everyone is capable of receiving Semicha—at least the way it is done nowadays. (24 Teves 5712)
